I obtained my degree in Philosophy and English from the University of Toronto in 1974 and completed my Bachelors of Law at Queens University, graduating in 1977. I was called to the bar in 1979.

I have had a busy mediation and arbitration practice since 1990 and I provided mediation internships to many students since 2005.  Most of my students have successfully qualified to become Chartered Mediators with the ADR Institute and/or accredited with OAFM and/or FDRIO.

I sat on the Internship Committee with the ADR Institute of Ontario and participated in developing their mediation internship program.

I was a co-chair of the family mediation section of FDRIO  with Richard Shields until October of 2016.

I am committed to the advancement of training and practicing standards for Mediators in the Province of Ontario.
